G.Udaygiri, Dec 6: A preparation meeting for the upcoming Winter Festival was held today at the Block Auditorium in Udaygiri. The meeting, organized under the leadership of Additional District Collector Sarat Chandra Mallik, was attended by Block Chairperson Sushma Pradhan and others.

The meeting saw active participation from various local officials, elected representatives, social organizations, artists, and media representatives, along with the general public. Discussions focused on finalizing the arrangements for the Winter Festival, scheduled from January 19 to 23, 2025. A new committee has been formed to oversee the festival’s successful execution, ensuring it will be a peaceful and memorable event.

Known for its chilly winters, Udaygiri has earned the reputation of being one of the coldest cities in the state, making it the perfect destination for such an event.

Authorities have assured that extensive planning and coordination across various departments are in place to ensure the smooth functioning of the festival. The event is expected to attract both locals and tourists, providing a platform to showcase cultural performances, art exhibitions, and winter-themed activities.

This year’s Winter Festival is anticipated to be the most successful yet, as it is backed by strong community involvement and extensive preparations. Local authorities and organizers have expressed confidence in the festival’s success and are eager to welcome attendees from across the region.
