Bhubaneswar, March 3: In a grand celebration marking his 78th birthday, renowned historian and Odisha Sahitya Academy awardee, Satyabadi Baliarsingh, was felicitated in Khordha. The event also witnessed the release of his book, "Odia Asmitara Swara -Udbodhani Sangita Mala".
The launch took place at the Shyama Madhav-Vasanti Devi Library premises in Khordha, where a distinguished gathering came together to mark the occasion. The event was chaired by eminent educationist Bhimasen Pradhan, with former legislator Jitu Mitra inaugurating the ceremony.
In attendance were several prominent literary figures, including former principal of Kamala Nehru Mahila Mahavidyalaya, Dr. Gopalakrishna Nanda, renowned poet Dr. Kunjbihari Mahanty, eminent educationist Kalicharan Jayasingh, and poet Rajkishore Panigrahi. The event saw the release of Baliarsingh’s book, titled Odia Asmita's Voice: Awakening Musical Melody. 
The book was reviewed by journalist Sunil Kumar Bose, who praised the depth of its content. Alongside the book launch, several notable individuals were felicitated for their contributions to various fields. These included Dr. Gopalakrishna Nanda, Dr. Kunjbihari Mahanti, Pala artist Khageshwar Martha, former legal officer Lakshmidhara Parida, educator Sheshadeb Chotray, and renowned craftsman Yogendra Raut.
The program was organized by Gobinda Maharana and Itishree Sahu, on behalf of the Trinath Charan Smriti Kala Sahitya Sansad family.
