Bhubaneswar, May 7: Ahead of first phase of the Twin Election in Odisha, BJD top leadership and 5T Secretary VK Pandian on Tuesday hit the campaign trail in Ganjam.
Pandian in the morning led a roadshow and bike rally among thousands of BJD workers and fellows at Shergarh and campaigned for the BJD nominees.
Sources said Pandian left Bhubaneswar for Shergarh in a chopper and landed at the temporary helipad near the Shergarh Bus-stop. Following this, he offered flowery tribute to late Biju Patnaik at the Charichhak putting garland around the stalwart leaders’s statue among the party nominees representing from the Assembly and Lok Sabha segments.
Later in the afternoon Pandian participated in the poll campaign at Khallikote and appealed locals to vote for the BJD candidates.
