Puri, Apr 14: On the auspicious occasion of ‘Pana Sankranti’ and Odia New Year, internationally acclaimed sand artist and Padma Shri Awardee Sudarsan Pattnaik created a beautiful sand art at Odisha’s Puri beach and conveyed his greetings to people.
Pattnaik created a sand art of Mahaprabhu Shri Jagannath and a sacred Tulsi plant at the back which has a clay pot on its top. The pot is traditionally filled with ‘Pana’ and has a small hole at the base through which ‘Pana’ trickles from the pot onto the plant.
Pattnaik shared the picture of the sand art on his official ‘X’ handle with a caption, “Jai Jagannath…🙏 Happy #MahaBishubaSankranti & #OdiaNewYear May Mahaprabhu Shree Jagannatha bless all. 🙏”.
Notably, Odisha is celebrating ‘Pana Sankranti’ or ‘Maha Bishuba Sankranti’, which also marks the beginning of Odia New Year, today.
