Bhawanipatna, Nov 3: A seven-year-old boy was trampled to death by a wild tusker while his five-year-old brother suffered minor injury in Odisha’s Kalahandi district on Monday morning, police said.

The incident occurred at Kunnakadu village village of Trilochanpur panchayat in Bijepur police station area of Lanjigarh block.

The deceased has been identified as Ravi Majhi.

His younger brother Samri (5) suffered minor injuries, police said.

According to report, the incident occurred this morning when Ravi and his brother were heading to their farm near the forest. The elephant trampled Ravi to death while Samari was thrown to the ground.
