Bhubaneswar, April 26: The Central Government has officially invited nominations for the prestigious Padma Awards 2026, with the deadline for online submissions set for July 31, 2025. Interested individuals can submit their nominations directly through the Ministry of Home Affairs' official website, www.padmaawards.gov.in, which contains comprehensive guidelines and details regarding the process.
In addition to the online portal, the Department of General Administration and Public Grievances has also announced an alternate method for submission. Aspiring nominees may prepare their applications in English, strictly adhering to the prescribed proforma, and email a soft copy in MS Word format to [email protected]. These email submissions must be sent on or before June 16, 2025.
Officials clarified that all nomination forms received via email will be scrutinized, and based on the eligibility criteria, suitable candidates will be shortlisted. The State Government will then forward the names of the recommended individuals to the Central Government for final consideration.
The Padma Awards—Padma Vibhushan, Padma Bhushan, and Padma Shri—are among India’s highest civilian honours, recognizing exceptional achievements in various fields, including art, literature, science, public affairs, and social service.
