Bhubaneswar, Nov 25: Over 8.31 lakh alumni have joined Odisha government's Mo School Campaign so far. As many as 11,345 alumni joined recently.
The 46th executive council meeting of the Mo School Campaign has approved 1589 projects of over Rs 31.81 crore. New 2837 smart class rooms will be added to the government high schools in Odisha under the programme. Each school will get Rs 2.5 lakh for the smart class rooms. Besides, science and mathematics teachers will be skilled for better teaching experience.
The JSW Foundation will develop primary schools across the state. The executive council meeting has approved double government financial aid to 500 primary schools in the first phase.
Mathematic books of class IX and X are being prepared in Odia language with the help of Khan Academy.
The 46th executive council meeting has approved 1072 projects of 28 districts. Alumni will provide Rs 6.26 crore for this.
