Odisha Paddy Registration 2026-27: Over 7 Lakh Farmers Register, August 31 Deadline

Bhubaneswar, August 22: More than seven lakh farmers in Odisha have completed their paddy registration for the Kharif 2026-27 procurement season, with the state government urging all eligible farmers to complete the process before the August 31 deadline.

Food Supplies and Consumer Welfare Minister Krushna Chandra Patra said the registration drive is progressing across the state and has been simplified to make it easier for farmers.

The minister appealed to farmers who are yet to complete their registration to do so before the deadline to ensure their participation in the upcoming Kharif paddy procurement process.

“More than seven lakh farmers have completed their registration so far. The process has been simplified and farmers are not facing any major issues,” Patra said.

Farmers have been advised to keep all required documents ready and visit their nearest Large Area Multipurpose Cooperative Societies (LAMPS), Primary Agricultural Credit Societies (PACS) or Pani Panchayats to complete the registration.

Patra stressed that farmers should not wait until the last date and urged those yet to register to complete the process at the earliest.

The minister also assured farmers that the registration process would be carried out smoothly and that the state government would procure paddy from registered farmers under the Kharif 2026-27 procurement programme.

With the registration deadline set for August 31, the government has called upon all eligible farmers who are yet to register to complete the process within the stipulated time.
