Malkangiri, December 10: Normalcy is gradually returning to MV-26 village in Malkangiri district after a violent incident rocked the area following the discovery of a headless body of a tribal woman. The district administration, led by Collector Somesh Kumar Upadhyay, has been on the ground assessing the extent of the damage caused.

Officials have surveyed the destruction, which includes damaged homes, furniture, and trees, and are actively providing support to the affected villagers. A free kitchen has been set up to serve meals, and blankets have been distributed to help residents cope with the cold.

In addition to this immediate relief, the family of the deceased has been provided financial assistance of Rs 30,000 from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund.

To maintain order, internet services in the district have been suspended for the next 12 hours. Surveillance cameras have also been installed to monitor the situation, ensuring the area remains secure.

With the situation under control, villagers are slowly returning to their homes, and peace appears to be gradually restored in the community.
