Over 1 lakh elderly people vaccinated in Odisha today

Bhubaneswar, Mar 15: Over one lakh elderly people were vaccinated for Covid-19 today, informed the Health and Family Welfare Department. “Proud to share that today Odisha achieved #COVID19 vaccination of over One lakh elderly persons in a day. We salute the tireless efforts of our vaccination teams.” tweeted the Health department. Total 1,21,572 persons were vaccinated on Monday including 1,00,273 elderly persons. The total vaccine doses administered till date in the state reached 12,81,362. Earlier on March 10, the Odisha government had asked the concerned authorities to increase the Covid-19 vaccination of senior citizens to one lakh per day. However, within one week of the notice, the vaccination teams were able to reach the target today.
