Bhubaneswar, July 5: The 1100-seat gigantic auditorium of Odisha University of Agriculture and Technology (OUAT) will be inaugurated on July 10, on the occasion of convocation ceremony.
The university has requested President Droupadi Murmu to grace the convocation ceremony. National and international-level training programmes, workshops and conferences will be organised in the 1100-seat auditorium, said Vice Chancellor Pravat Kumar Roul.
A 200-bed hostel is being constructed in the university campus for farmers who are visiting the institution for training and research activities. The Odisha Bridge & Construction Corporation (OBCC) will hand over the hostel to the varsity by July 15, added the VC.
Besides, a six-storey boys’ hostel is under construction. The OBCC has been asked for early completion of the building so that admission can begin from this academic session. All the 10 women’s hostels are being renovated by the OBCC and work of five has been completed, he added.
