Bhubaneswar, September 29: The Odisha Renewable Energy Development Agency (OREDA) Limited, a Government of Odisha undertaking under the Department of Energy has declared and paid its first-ever dividend of Rs 1.07 crore to the State Government for the financial year 2024-25.
The dividend cheque was presented to Deputy Chief Minister and Minister for Agriculture & Farmers' Empowerment and Energy, Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo.
Incorporated on May 9, 2024, OREDA Limited earned a net profit of Rs 3.57 crore in its very first financial year. Declaring and paying a dividend within its first year of incorporation marks a remarkable achievement for OREDA Limited, reflecting the company’s financial growth and sound financial management. OREDA Limited continues to work steadily toward promoting renewable energy and sustainable energy solutions across Odisha.
The dividend cheque was handed over to the Deputy CM in the presence of Deputy Chief Minister along with Additional Chief Secretary (Energy) Vishal Kumar Dev, FA-cum-Special Secretary Dr. Debidutta Tripathy, OREDA CEO Saidutta Biplab Keshari Pradhan, Additional Secretary Nibedita Mishra, and other senior officials of the department.
