Bhubaneswar, June 8: Most parts of the state has already started receiving pre-monsoon rainfall from the afternoon on June 8 with heavy rainfall over the north coastal and southern districts. With a low-pressure area most likely to form over north Bay of Bengal, the Regional Meteorological Centre on Tuesday issued orange warning for several parts of Odisha on June 21. The Met office forecast that thunderstorm with lightning and gusty surface wind speed reaching 40-50 kmph is very likely to occur at eight districts. On the other hand, light to Moderate Thunderstorm with Lightning and Light rain likely to affect some parts of 17 southern interior districts. There will be widespread rainfall activity with isolated heavy to very heavy and extremely heavy rainfall in most parts of the state from June 10 to 14.Heavy to very heavy rainfall at a few places with extremely heavy falls at one or two places over eight districts.
