Jharsuguda, Nov 24: The decomposed body of a lawyer, who had been missing for three months, was recovered from a car submerged in a pond in Silphodi Upperbeda under Jharkpokharia police station. The family had earlier filed a written complaint regarding his disappearance, raising suspicions about the circumstances surrounding his death.

Villagers spotted the car early in the morning and alerted the authorities. The Sarasakana Fire Brigade retrieved the vehicle from the pond, and the body was recovered from inside. The deceased has been identified as 42-year-old Gulesh Gochchayat of Visoi area.

Jharkpokharia police have reached the site and launched a formal investigation into the incident. Reports indicate that Gochchayat went missing on September 11.
