Karnal, May 7: Following the Indian Armed Forces' decisive response to the April 22 terror attack through 'Operation Sindoor', Rajesh Narwal, father of Indian Navy Lieutenant Vinay Narwal—one of the 26 victims—hailed the operation as a powerful and justified move that would serve as a lasting deterrent to terrorism.
Speaking about the airstrikes carried out in the early hours of Wednesday, which targeted and destroyed nine terror infrastructures in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK), Narwal expressed strong support for the government's actions. "When this tragedy occurred, you came home and asked me what I wanted from the government. I told you then—I have full faith in the Indian government and its commitment to justice. Today, that faith has been affirmed," he said.
Commending the government's firm stance, Narwal added, "This was the right step. This strike will stay in the minds of those responsible, and they’ll think a hundred times before daring to act again."
He also appreciated the significance of the operation's name, calling it meaningful for all the bereaved families. "The name ‘Operation Sindoor’ is fitting. With this action, all 26 families have received justice," he said.
