Bhubaneswar, Dec 11: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Thursday distributed appointment letters to 591 newly selected candidates at a state-level appointment fair organized at the Odisha Krushi Shiksha Sadan of OUAT in Bhubaneswar. The appointments included 252 candidates from the Water Resources Department, 197 from the Public Works Department, and 142 from the Housing & Urban Development Department.

During the event, the Chief Minister also inaugurated a new irrigation project worth ₹425 crore and laid the foundation stone for a ₹2,063 crore development project. These ceremonies were conducted via video conferencing.

The function was attended by Public Works Minister Prithviraj Harichandan, Urban Development Minister Krishna Chandra Mahapatra, Additional Chief Secretary of the Water Resources Department Anu Garg, and Principal Secretary of the Urban Development Department Usha Padhi.
