Dubai/Bhubaneswar, Sept 11: Showcasing Odisha’s rich tradition of handicrafts and handlooms, Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Mohan Charan Majhi inaugurated the One District, One Product (ODOP) Gallery in Dubai.

The gallery features a diverse range of Odisha’s unique products, including Sambalpuri Saree from Sambalpur, Maniabandha Handloom from Cuttack, Silver Filigree from Cuttack, Dongria Shawl from Rayagada, Terracotta Idols from Kendujhar, Black Granite Sculptures from Balasore, and Pattachitra and Palm Leaf Engraving products from Puri.

The exhibition highlights the craftsmanship, cultural identity and traditional skills of Odisha’s artisans. The global showcase is aimed at creating new markets for these products, strengthening women-led entrepreneurship and local livelihoods, and opening up greater opportunities for exports.

The Chief Minister emphasised the vision of taking Odisha’s traditional products “from local to global”, with greater market access, value addition and international recognition for the state’s artisans and entrepreneurs.
