Odisha: Youth brutally murdered by friend following heated argument in Balangir

Balangir, Aug 26: In a gruesome incident, a youth was brutally murdered by his friend following a heated argument in Turekela area of Odisha’s Balangir district last evening.
The deceased has been identified as Kishore Parabhue and the incident took place at Mudakani village under Turekela police limits in the district.
As per reports, a heated exchange of words ensued between Kishore and the accused, identified as Sridhar Sabar. It soon escalated and took a violent turn leading into a physical confrontation. Thereafter, Sridhar allegedly attacked Kishore in fit of rage.
As a result, Kishore collapsed and lost consciousness following which he was rushed to Khadial Mission Shakti Hospital but succumbed to his injuries on the way.
Later, the family members of the deceased filed a complaint with the Turekela police. Based on the complaint, the police registered a murder case and took the accused into custody. The cops also seized the deceased’s body and sent it for post-mortem examination.
Further investigation into the matter is underway.
