Bhubaneswar, Jan 23: Odisha’s rich art and culture will take center stage at the Republic Day celebrations in Delhi, as the state’s vibrant tableau makes its way along the Kartavya Path. The theme of Odisha’s tableau, “Viksit Bharat, Viksit Odisha” (Developed India, Developed Odisha), will highlight the state’s illustrious cultural heritage, including the world-renowned Konark Sun Temple, traditional paintings, and exquisite Silver filigree work.

The tableau will also feature one of Odisha’s most popular folk dance forms, Chaiti Ghoda Nacha, bringing its dynamic rhythms to life for the audience. Additionally, artisans will demonstrate the intricate processes of stone-carving, the creation of Pipili applique work, and the weaving of Sabai grass baskets, showcasing Odisha’s rich craftsmanship.

In a striking visual, the tableau will incorporate a chariot symbolizing a developed India, accompanied by the energetic movements of the Chaiti Ghoda Nacha dancers, representing the spirit of progress and unity.

The Republic Day Parade will also highlight Operation Sindoor, India’s strategic military response to Pakistan’s aggression, underscoring the nation’s military strength and resilience.

In addition to the colorful cultural display, the 77th Republic Day celebrations will be graced by distinguished international guests, including European Council President Antonio Costa and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, highlighting the significance of India’s growing global presence.
