Bhubaneswar, Nov 27: Amid ongoing allegations and counter-allegations surrounding the death of popular singer Humane Sagar, Odisha Cine Artists’ Association General Secretary Sritam Das has called for a thorough and impartial investigation. According to Sritam, people across Odisha deserve to know the truth behind the circumstances leading to the singer’s untimely demise.

He urged the state government to constitute a special inquiry committee comprising a former judge and a retired senior police officer to ensure a fair probe. “Only a neutral investigation can bring the facts to light,” Sritam said, noting that Humane Sagar’s sudden death has left his fans and the entire state in deep shock.

In a related development, film director Jitu Raut has filed a written complaint at Madhupatna Police Station in Cuttack, demanding a detailed investigation into the alleged mystery surrounding the singer’s death. His complaint names singer Arpita, and Humane Sagar’s manager Prashant and associate Dinesh, seeking scrutiny of their roles. Several other artists are also reported to have submitted complaints at the same police station.

Raut has requested that the involvement of Humane Sagar’s three close associates be examined thoroughly. He has called for a high-level probe into the singer’s financial transactions, medical treatment, and alleged negligence in home care. Raut further alleged that large sums of money earned by the singer were misappropriated, accusing the manager and the entire team of acting for personal gain.

The investigation demand continues to intensify as supporters and admirers seek clarity over the circumstances surrounding the beloved singer’s death.
