Bhubaneswar, Aug 25: A lady cop allegedly attempting suicide and then suddenly vanishing from the hospital, where she was admitted for treatment, may sound a bit strange. But the unusual incident has been reported from Odisha's Bolangir district, triggering a lot of suspense.
As per reports, Police Sub Inspector (SI) Kajal Bag, posted in Bolangir district's Saintala PS, was rushed to the nearby community healthcare centre (CHC) and then to Bhima Bhoi Medical College and Hospital, Bolangir on Thursday after she allegedly consumed poison.
But while the reason behind her taking such an extreme step was yet to be ascertained, her sudden missing from the hospital on Thursday night, created more suspense, sources revealed.
It was still unclear if SI Bag had left with her family members, who reside in Bhawanipatna town in Kalahandi district, or had left with someone else from the hospital, sources said. She was transferred to Saintala PS four months ago and was staying in a rented house, it is learnt.
On one hand, while the police were trying to figure out why she allegedly attempted suicide and then suddenly went missing from the hospital, rumour mills were busy circulating their own theories, added sources.
