Cuttack, Oct 31: The 16-member Odisha Under-19 cricket team travelled to Hyderabad on Tuesday to participate in the Women’s U19 T20 Trophy.
The 16 selected players were chosen from the 24 short-listed cricketers of Odisha, on the basis of their performances in the four trial matches held in Cuttack recently.
The remaining 8 players have been kept on stand-by for any emergency, informed Odisha Cricket Association (OCA) sources.
The team is led by Jyoti Prasad. The players are accompanied by Coach and former India player Swagatika Rath, Manager-cum-Observer Sudhansubala Sahoo, Physio Swati Suman Behera and Strength and Conditioning Coach Sasmita Sahoo.
Odisha Cricket Association (OCA) President Pranab Prakash Das and Secretary Sanjay Behera along with other office-bearers of the association have wished the team all success in the national level tourney.
