Rayagada, Apr 23: In a tragic incident, two youths died of suffocation while cleaning a well in Chandrapur area of Odisha’s Rayagada district on Wednesday.
The deceased youths have been identified as Tete Tangaranga (25) and Chittaranjan Tangaranga (28) and the incident has been reported from Bandri village under Chandrapur police limits in the district.
As per reports, Tete and Chittaranjan were cleaning a well in their village when they got suffocated. After learning about it, locals immediately alerted the Chandrapur fire brigade.
Upon getting the information, fire personnel rushed to the spot and rescued the duo. They were immediately rushed to the Chandrapur Community Health Centre (CHC) where the attending doctors declared them brought dead.
After being informed, Chandrapur police arrived at the hospital and seized the bodies before sending them for post-mortem.
Further investigation into the incident was underway.
