New Delhi, March 10: IndiGo's CEO, Pieter Elbers, announced his resignation on Tuesday, just three months after the airline experienced significant operational disruptions.

In the interim, the airline’s Managing Director, Rahul Bhatia, will take over the management of the company until a new CEO is appointed, a process expected to unfold quickly, according to a company statement released on Tuesday.

InterGlobe Aviation's Chairman, Vikram Singh Mehta, expressed confidence in Bhatia's leadership, stating, "Rahul returns to manage the airline’s operations with a focus on strengthening our culture, enhancing operational excellence, and reinforcing our commitment to providing outstanding customer service, reliability, and professionalism."
