Bhubaneswar, Nov 1: The 2023-24 edition of Odisha Tourism’s Eco Retreat facilities started at different locations across the state from today. Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik virtually inaugurated the facilities.
While Eco Retreats at Putsil, Daringbadi, Hirakud and Satkosia opened for tourists on November 1 in the first phase, those at Bhitarkanika and Sonapur beach (Ganjam) would be inaugurated on December 1. Similarly, the Eco Retreat at Konark will be opened on December 15. The flagship camping event will remain open for 90 days at every facility.
Usually, Eco Retreats start from December 1 and this year it opened one month earlier following conducive weather to attract tourist inflow.
The Eco Retreats will come up with luxury, adventure, local culture, mouth-watering Odia cuisine, aesthetic folk music and dance in the lap of nature with night halt facilities.
While the price varies from Rs 7,000 to Rs 29,000 for one cottage with accommodation facility for two persons in Konark, at other places the price is Rs 7000 to Rs 8000. Over 70 tents will be set up at Konark with holding of 20 programmes and 25 tents will be available at other destinations with over 12 events.
The tourists will be provided royal hospitality in the lap of nature.
