Bhubaneswar, March 16: Days after temperature soared over 35 degree Celsius in parts of Odisha, mercury level is expected to fall in the state from today under the influence of rainfall and thunderstorm activity due to cyclonic circulation over north Odisha and neighbourhood.
Unseasonal rain, thunder and hail to hit Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Odisha and West Bengal till March 21, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) said.
Light to moderate rain/thundershower is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of coastal Odisha ,Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Angul, Dhenkanal, Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Nuapada, Boudh, Sonepur, Sundargarh, Nabarangpur and dry weather is very likely to prevail over the rest districts of Odisha on Saturday, the IMD said.
Thunderstorm with lightning is also likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Cuttack, Dhenkanal, Khurda, Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapara, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Puri, Kandhamal, Rayagada, Koraput, Nabarangpur and Kalahandi during this period.
Light to moderate rain/thundershower is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of coastal Odisha, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Dhenkanal, Kandhamal, Rayagada, Angul, Kalahandi and dry weather is very likely to prevail over the rest districts of Odisha on Sunday, the IMD predicted.
Similarly, light to moderate rain/thundershower is very likely to occur at a few places over the districts of south Odisha, Cuttack, Dhenkanal, Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur, Jajpur, Bhadrak and at one or two places over the rest districts Odisha on Monday.
