Bhubaneswar, Jan 22: While weeding out operation continues in the Biju Janata Dal(BJD), Vice-Chairman of Patnagarh NAC, Prafulla Kumar Meher has been suspended from the party.

BJD Vice-President (Headquarters) Pratap Jena issued an official order in this connection on Thursday.

The suspension letter issued by the BJD office read, “Prafulla Kumar Meher, Vice-Chairman of NAC Patnagarh, district Bolangir is hereby suspended from Biju Janata Dal(BJD) for his involvement in antiparty activities, with immediate effect.”

Earlier, the BJD President Naveen Patnaik had suspended two MLAs over the same allegations that they are indulged in antiparty activities.
