Bhubaneswar, April 8: In order to address the disparity in promotion and transfer of doctors, the Odisha health department will implement gradation system.
The health department is going to develop a dedicated website for it with detailed record of job of Odisha government doctors. The grade will be given considering their detailed job records that will be the parameter for transfer and promotion.
Earlier, many physicians were using lobby for promotion and transfer following which disgruntled doctors used to take legal help. To manage the disparity, the Odisha government has decided to implement the gradation system.
The health department will develop a website named Medical Officers' Cadre Management by the Odisha Computer Application Centre (OCAC).
The details of doctors of Odisha Medical and health services (OMHS), Odisha Medical Education Service (OMES), Odisha Homoeopathic Medical Education Services (OHMES), Odisha Ayurvedic Medical Services (OAMS) and Odisha Ayurvedic Medical Education Services (OAMES) will be available in the website.
