Bhubaneswar, Jan 3: The first edition of the World Odia Language Conference in Bhubaneswar is all set to kick start in Bhubaneswar on February 3, 2024.
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has issued directives to relevant departments, emphasizing their collaborative efforts with the Odia Language, Literature, and Culture departments to ensure the conference's success.
The decision to hold the conference was taken at the Heritage Cabinet meeting held on December 19. This global event will feature the participation of renowned linguists and experts from both national and international arenas. Additionally, students from various regions within the state are expected to actively engage in the conference.
Over the three days, there will be a special emphasis on motivating young individuals to embrace the use of the Odia language. The government anticipates that the conference will play a pivotal role in promoting the Odia language, not only within the country but also on the global stage.
