Bhubaneswar, Nov 2: The temperature is likely to remain above normal this year from November to February in most parts of the country including Odisha.

People will experience warmer winter especially in December and January as temperature will remain above normal during these two months.

Farmers will get less harvest of winter crops due to higher temperature than normal and light rain, said weather and agriculture expert Dr Surendra Nath Pasupalak.

The temperature in the summer tropical Pacific Ocean has remained 1.5 degree Celsius above than normal. Apart from this, EI Nino impact has been higher and will continue till March next year. The Indian Ocean dipole has been positive which may get weaker after two months.

The south Odisha will experience cloudy weather from November 2 to 6 with light rain at some places. North coastal areas may experience rain on November 3 & 4. The minimum temperature will rise in coastal and north interior districts. The highest temperature may rise by 2 degree Celsius during the next two days, said Pasupalak.
