Jajpur, May 22: Odisha Chief Minister Shri Mohan Charan Majhi on Thursday inaugurated and laid the foundation stones for 24 industrial projects, with a cumulative investment of ₹1,15,000 crore.
These projects are expected to generate employment for approximately 36,000 people across the state.
Participating in an official function, the Chief Minister inaugurated four key projects, including Tata Steel Limited’s major expansion at the Kalinga Nagar industrial hub. The company’s 5 million tonnes per annum (MTPA) Integrated Steel Plant (ISP) expansion involves an investment of ₹47,599 crore and is projected to create 4,625 direct jobs.
Other inaugurated projects include:
JSL Group’s petroleum and solar power project, with an investment of ₹470 crore.
Jatia Steel Limited’s 0.75 MTPA TMT Rebar-cum-Wire Rod Mill, at a cost of ₹220 crore.
Abis Exports India Private Limited’s poultry feed plant, involving ₹161.57 crore in investment.
The Chief Minister highlighted the state’s growing industrial base and reiterated the government’s commitment to making Odisha a key destination for investment, job creation, and sustainable economic development.
