Patna, November 4: Campaigning for the first phase of Bihar’s assembly elections concluded on Tuesday evening, with major political figures holding rallies, roadshows, and engaging with voters to boost their candidates. The first phase, covering 121 constituencies in 18 districts, will be held on November 6, while the second phase is set for November 11. Votes will be counted on November 14.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed confidence in the NDA's victory, predicting a decisive win that would break a 20-year record. He stressed that Bihar's development could only be achieved under NDA leadership. Union Minister Amit Shah also campaigned in Darbhanga, Motihari, and Bettiah, warning against a return to the "jungle raj" under the RJD.

RJD's Tejashwi Yadav, the Mahagathbandhan's CM candidate, vowed to "uproot" the Nitish Kumar government, promising additional financial support to farmers and free electricity for irrigation. He also reiterated promises under the ‘Mai Bahin Maan Yojana’ for women.

Prashant Kishor, founder of Jan Suraaj, held roadshows in Arrah and Shahpur, urging voters to choose his party for change in governance. He criticized Tejashwi Yadav's promises as unrealistic.

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, campaigning in Aurangabad, expressed confidence that the Mahagathbandhan would form the next government, accusing Nitish Kumar of being a "mask" for PM Modi's control. Gandhi also criticized the Agnipath scheme and promised the establishment of a world-class university in Bihar under an INDIA bloc government.

As election day approaches, both the NDA and Mahagathbandhan have presented their manifestoes, intensifying the competition.
