Bolangir, January 21: A gruesome murder took place in Tulsinagar, under Town Police Station limits in Bolangir, late last night, where Jadumani Bagarti was allegedly hacked to death by his nephew, Aju Bisi, using a spade.

Police suspect that the family dispute is behind the murder, and Aju Bisi has been detained for questioning in connection with the incident.

According to reports, Jadumani was found lying in a pool of blood around 11 pm. Although local residents remained silent about the incident, a broken spade found near the scene suggested foul play.

On being informed, the Town Police quickly reached at the scene and shifted Jadumani to Bhima Bhoi Hospital, where he was declared dead.

Preliminary investigations suggest that Jadumani was likely attacked with the spade, causing his fatal injuries.

The brutal murder has caused tension in the city, prompting the police to launch a full investigation into the matter.
