Odisha: Six injured in group clash in Sundergarh’s Rajgangpur over past enmity

Sundergarh, July 7: As many as six persons were injured, two of them critically, in a group clash over past enmity in Rajgangpur village within Rajgangpur police limits of Sundergargh district. 

Sources said the two groups of a particular community clashed at Rabani Chhak and Sangam Marg at around 10 AM today. It all started with arguments and later blows were traded and swords and other lethal weapons were used as the situation worsened. 

At least six persons of both the groups sustained injuries, two of them critically during the clash. 

On being informed, Rajgangpur police rushed to spot and managed to bring the situation under control. 

Those who sustained injuries in the clash were rushed to the Rajgangpur Community Health Centre (CHC) for treatment and later two of them were shifted to Rourkela after their condition deteriorated. 

Meanwhile, police kept a close watch on the situation to avoid any further untoward situation. 

However, the exact reason behind the group clash has not been ascertained as yet while police started an investigation.
