Puri, June 10: The Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA), Puri has secured patent rights for its Ananda Bazar and Pati Tapaban, two key words widely used in the Shree Jagannath Cult.

The Intellectual Property India(IPI) authorities have accorded the rights to the SJTA and the 12th Century Shrine.

Acknowledging the recognition, SJTA Chief Administrator Dr. Arabinda Kumar Padhee said the Puri Jagannath Temple authorities have received confirmation from the IPI, in this connection. The Intellectual Property India has accorded rights to the Ananda Bazar, Shree Patita Paban and Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA),as one & unique organisation along with its prevailing logos.

Dr. Padhee however said the temple administration had applied for getting intellectual property rights for as many as 26 unique terms & names associated with the Shree Jagannath Cult.Acting on it, the Intellectual Property India has sought further details on them.
