Odisha: Seven-year-old girl crushed to death as wall collapses on her in Keonjhar

Keonjhar, Mar 18: In an unfortunate incident, a seven-year-old girl was crushed to death after a wall collapsed on her at Anandpur locality in Odisha’s Keonjhar district today.
The victim has been identified as Snehalata, daughter of Nirakar Sahu.
As per reports, Snehalata, who has been living with her maternal grandfather following her father’s death, was getting ready for her exam when the wall of her house suddenly collapsed. As a result, she was crushed under the debris leading to her death on the spot.
After learning about the incident, locals rescued her from the debris and rushed her to Anandpur Sub-Divisional Hospital where the attending doctors declared her dead.
A five-year-old boy was also injured in the incident.
Upon getting the information, police arrived at the hospital and seized the body. Subsequently, it was sent for post-mortem.
A pal of gloom descended in the village following the incident.
