Bhubaneswar, Dec 1: The Odisha government is all set to launch the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY) soon, said Health Minister Mukesh Mahaling on Sunday.
While interacting with the media personnel on the community health services scheme, Mahaling said that the AB-PMJAY will be implemented in Odisha by the end of this current financial year.
Underlining the chain of hospitals to be empanelled with the AB-PMJAY, Mahaling assured that at least 27,000 leading hospitals and healthcare providers across the nation will provide specialty and super-specialty treatments to the common people free of cost.
The Health Minister further said that the AB-PMJAY, will be integrated with the state’s captive health scheme i.e the Gobandhu Jan Arogya Yojana (G-JAY).
Individual cards will be provided to nearly 3.5 crore people in the state after MoU is signed with the Government of India, Mahaling added.
