Bhubaneswar, August 29: Senior IAS officer Sanjay Kumar Biswal took charge as Director of the Information & Public Relations (I&PR) Department of Odisha.

At a function held at the conference room of Lok Sampark Bhavan, Biswal was formally welcomed by Additional Secretary Ashok Kumar Behuria, Joint Secretary Kalamuddin, Additional Director Smita Kar and Joint Director Sucheta Priyadarshini.

Department officials and employees also extended a warm welcome to Biswal on his assumption of office. On the occasion, officers congratulated former Director Anuj Kumar Das Patnaik on his new assignment.

​​​​​​​Addressing the gathering, Biswal sought the cooperation of all officers and employees and called for coordinated efforts to ensure the effective implementation of the department’s work schedule.

Biswal, an experienced administrator, was previously serving as Additional Secretary in the Commerce and Transport Department. He has held several key positions during his career, including assignments with the Odisha State Road Transport Corporation (OSRTC) and the Capital Region Urban Transport (CRUT), where he gained extensive administrative experience.
