Bhubaneswar, Jan 5: The Odisha Medical Service Association (OMSA) has announced a partial withdrawal of outpatient department (OPD) services starting today. OMSA President Dr. Kishore Chandra Mishra and General Editor Dr. Sanjib Pradhan stated that the government has not taken any steps to address their demands, compelling the association to extend its ongoing protest. The government has been warned that it will be responsible for any disruption in healthcare services.

According to the schedule, until January 14, OPD services will be suspended from 9 AM to 11 AM instead of the usual one-hour strike. If demands remain unaddressed, from January 15, OPD services will be closed for two hours in the morning and entirely in the afternoon, with only emergency services available. Full suspension of OPD services is expected from January 27.

OMSA has also confirmed that non-cooperation under the NHM scheme, which has already been halted, will continue from January 26.
