Dhenkanal, Nov 27: In a tragic incident, three youths lost their lives when their scooter was hit by an unknown vehicle late Thursday night. The accident took place near the Gobindpur area, on the outskirts of Dhenkanal city.

According to local police reports, the unidentified vehicle reportedly struck the scooter, causing the fatal crash.

Upon receiving news of the incident, Gobindpur outpost police rushed to the scene and recovered the bodies of the victims. The police rushed the youths to the District Headquarter Hospital for further examination. However, as of now, the identities of the victims remain unknown.

The police have initiated a probe to locate the vehicle and its driver. It was also noted that two of the deceased victims were reportedly wearing t-shirts with the name "Choudwar Shakti Hotel" printed on them, which could potentially lead to identifying them.

The police are continuing their investigation and have urged anyone with information to come forward. The police are also reviewing CCTV footage from the area to trace the vehicle involved in the accident.

Further investigation into the matter is underway.
