New Delhi/ Bhubaneswar, Nov 28: Odisha has been awarded the First Prize for Excellence in Display at the 44th India International Trade Fair (IITF) 2025, held at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, from November 14 to 27. The prestigious honor, a Gold Medal, was conferred by the India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO).

The Odisha Pavilion was lauded for its successful portrayal of the state’s growing significance as a hub for investment, innovation, cultural richness, and sustainable development. The display effectively highlighted the state's strengths across various sectors, showcasing its potential as a leading destination for business and cultural exchange.

Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi took to social media to express his pride in the achievement, dedicating the award to the state. In a post on X (formerly Twitter), he wrote, "Odisha has added yet another feather to its star-studded cap. Our display at the India International Trade Fair 2025 won gold and stands as a solid exemplification of the creative brains of Odisha. This gold medal is for the state and special kudos to the artisans and SHGs who took the Odia soul to Delhi and shone through."

The recognition at the IITF 2025 further strengthens Odisha’s reputation as a state that is embracing innovation and fostering local craftsmanship, while celebrating its cultural heritage.
