Bhubaneswar, June 13: Revenue and Disaster Management Minister Suresh Pujari on Friday unveiled the Department’s two-year achievement booklet and video at Lok Seva Bhavan, highlighting key reforms, citizen-centric initiatives, and plans.
The booklet showcases major achievements, including the correction of Column-II RoRs, delivery of over 2.5 crore revenue services under ORTPS, reduction of land-related issues, establishment of the Shri Jagannath Mahaprabhu Land Cell, opening of 108 new Sub-Registrar Offices, speedy disposal of land cases, disaster compensation disbursement, and successful management of cyclones Dana and Mantha with zero casualties.
It also outlines upcoming initiatives such as the “Ama Gaanre Ama Tahasil” programme, the establishment of the State Institute of Disaster Resilience (SIDR), and a new Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act.
Pujari lauded officials from the Tahasil to State level for their efforts and reaffirmed the Department’s commitment to accessible and efficient public services. He also noted the State Cabinet’s approval to correct the spellings of 64 place names across Odisha and said the Department is fully prepared to tackle any challenges arising from a possible El Niño impact this year.
