Cuttack, Aug 28: A Vigilance Court in Cuttack on Wednesday sentenced Sudhakar Pradhan, retired VLW cum PEO of Rajkanika block in Kendrapara district to undergo a rigorous imprisonment of four years for allegedly demanding and accepting bribe from a complainant.
Pradhan was earlier charge sheeted by Odisha Vigilance for demanding and accepting bribe from a complainant to process the file for release of security deposit relating to construction of step of temple and changing room. Further, the convict Pradhan was sent to jail custody to serve his sentence.
Odisha Vigilance will now move the competent authority for stoppage of pension of Pradhan following his conviction.
