Odisha: Retired headmaster found dead inside locked room in Balasore

Balasore, Aug 20: Mystery shrouded over the death of a 65-year-old retired headmaster after his body was found lying inside a locked room in Soro block of Odisha’s Balasore district on Wednesday.
The deceased has been identified as Banamali Sahu and the incident has been reported from Nuahat village under Soro block.
As per reports, Sahu went to bed in his room after having dinner on Tuesday night. When he failed to wake up and open the door the following morning, local residents alerted the police.
Upon getting the information, Soro police arrived at the scene and broke open the door. The cops discovered Sahu's lifeless body lying inside. Subsequently, the body was seized and sent for post-mortem.
Banamali had a history of family disputes with his son. While there are allegations of foul play involving his son due to these domestic tensions, initial police investigations indicate that this may not be the case.
A probe has been initiated into the matter to unravel the circumstances surrounding Sahu’s death, said the police.
