Sambalpur, July 27: Special Court of Vigilance in Sambalpur on Saturday convicted a retired senior clerk and sentenced him to three years of rigorous imprisonment for a period of 3 years and fine.
The accused has been identified as Dukalu Dharua, Retired Senor Clerk and Cashier of Sohela Block in Odisha’s Bargarh district. Dharua was earlier charge sheeted by Odisha Vigilance U/s 13(2) r/w 13(1)(c)(d) of PC Act, 1988/409/467/468/471/477-A/120-B/34 IPC for misappropriation of government money by adopting illegal means.
Odisha Vigilance will now move the competent authority for stoppage of pension of Dukalu Dharua following his conviction.
