Bhubaneswar, Jan 2: At least five more positive cases of COVID-19 were detected in Odisha in the past 24 hours.
With these new cases, the active caseload has risen to 24.
As per public health director Niranjan Mishra, 295 tests were conducted of which five returned positive for COVID-19.
All the new infected persons have been kept in isolation at their homes. Sources said contact tracing of the infected persons is continuing.
Mishra advised people to remain alert, avoid crowds, and wear masks if required.
