Berhampur, Oct 19: Police in Odisha’s Ganjam district arrested a youth for allegedly uploading a video showing him brandishing a sword and making threats on Instagram.

The accused has been identified as Sushant Mahakud, a resident of Bada Dumbula village under Digapahandi police limits.

In the video, Sushant threatened to visit the Digapahandi police station armed with a sword and "three heads," while urging viewers to like and comment on his post. The clip quickly went viral on social media, alarming locals and prompting police action.

Authorities tracked Sushant to his village and arrested him, after which he was produced in court.

Police sources stated that further investigation is ongoing to uncover the motive behind the act and to determine if others were involved.
