Bhubaneswar, April 10: Odisha registered 19.32 percent rise in vehicle sales in financial year 2023-24. As many as 7.76 lakh vehicles were sold in Odisha during 2023-24 financial year while 6.51 lakh vehicles were sold in 2022-23.
Odisha people bought 6.15 lakh units of two-wheeler, 20,948 units of three-wheeler, 40,736 units of commercial vehicle and 81,034 units of passenger vehicle and 18,643 units of tractor during 2023-24.
Two-wheeler sale registered 18.38 percent hike while three-wheeler sale witnessed 66.39 percent grown.
Similarly, commercial vehicle sale saw 31.59 percent growth and passenger vehicle sale 10.93 percent while tractor sale rose 28.23 percent during the 2023-24 financial year, informed Federation of Automobile Dealers Associations (FADA).
The rise in sale of vehicles in all categories signifies financial stability and growing interest of buyers towards automobile, said FADA, Odisha State Chairperson Pradeep Kumar Agarwal.
