Bhubaneswar, June 1: A voting percentage of 37.64 was recorded by 1 pm in Odisha's six Lok Sabha and 42 Assembly segments on Saturday where simultaneous elections are taking place, as per the State Election Commission.
Voting is underway in Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, and Jagatsinghpur Lok Sabha constituencies along with 42 assembly seats in Odisha in the last and the biggest phase.
At least 40.71 per cent voter turnout was recorded in Balasore till 1 pm, 36.64 per cent in Bhadrak, 38.82 per cent in Jagatsinghpur, and 33.96 per cent in Jajpur.
Similarly, Kendrapara recorded 35.84 percent and Mayurbhanj 40.09 per cent.
Polling is going on peacefully in 10,882 polling stations in the last phase of polling. The six parliamentary constituencies in this phase had recorded high voter turnout with 74.38 per cent in the 2019 general elections, said Chief Electoral Officer Nikunja Bihari Dhal.
