Angul, Dec 18: The Sadar Police in Angul have found the body of a woman in a rented house near Khalari Jamubandh Chhak. The deceased has been identified as Kuni Nayak.

According to reports, Kuni's son, Kahnu Nayak, knocked on the door, it remained locked. Upon opening the door, Kahnu found his mother lying dead on the floor, surrounded by pool of blood.

Kahnu immediately alerted the police, and a team from Sadar Police Station arrived at the scene to begin their investigation. This morning, a scientific team and sniffer dogs were deployed for further examination. The body has been sent to the district headquarters hospital for a post-mortem.

Preliminary findings from the police suggest that Kuni Nayak may have been killed with a stone. In connection with the case, the police have detained Kuni's daughter-in-law for questioning. The investigation is underway, and authorities are working to determine the exact cause of death and the motive behind the crime.
